EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — Dr. Keith Allen has joined the Menard Center for Emergency Care at Luther Midelfort.
Allen received his medical degree from University College Dublin in Ireland. He completed an emergency medicine residency at Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minn. He earned undergraduate degrees in neurobiology, animal physiology and psychology at the University of California San Diego in La Jolla, Calif.
He is board certified in emergency medicine and certified as an instructor and provider of advanced cardiac life support and certified to provide pediatric advanced life support and advanced trauma life support.
Allen is a member of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine, American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Medical Association.
Allen has special interests in helicopter emergency medical services, community outreach and sports medicine.
“Luther Midelfort’s alliance with Mayo Health System, combined with top-notch emergency medicine practice and many opportunities to pursue my special interests galvanized my decision to work here,” Allen said. “I look forward to meeting and working with the many talented staff and physicians while contributing to this, my new community.”
Luther Midelfort is a Level II Trauma Center verified by the American College of Surgeons — the only verified center in west-central Wisconsin that has the resources available to care for trauma patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
