EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) encourages a flu shot for people age 50 and older, children ages 6 months and older and others in high-risk groups. But anyone who wants to decrease his or her chances of getting the flu can get vaccinated.
Luther Midelfort will hold public flu shot clinics in late October and early November:
October 27 to November 7
Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
No appointment is necessary; walk-ins are welcome.
The closest entrances are at Scheels, Sears and Macy’s.
Saturday, Nov. 1
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
No appointment is necessary; walk-ins are welcome.There is a $35 fee for the flu shot. The cost is covered by many insurance plans.
